Description
I am Charles, a black African from Nigeria. I am currently studying at the University of Bristol for a doctorate in Chemistry. I am a sincere, honest and compassionate person who loves caring for people. I have been a teacher at the nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary levels for about 9 years now both back home in Nigeria and here in the UK. Teaching has exposed me to many behaviors from which I have learned several things. I enjoy engaging with people, taking care of people, trying to solve people's needs as much as I could, and assisting people to achieve their goals on a day-to-day basis. I have only recently joined care and support in the past year due to my passion for caring for people and I must say it's exciting seeing people I support or care for feel fulfilled all the time.
I sincerely enjoy being a carer for the singular reason of seeing people I support or care for being fulfilled. My role as a teacher has taught me quite a lot and I have acquired several skills ranging from communication, to problem solving, to planning/scheduling, team working, and report writing, among others.
